Leicester City hasn’t had the most impressive transfer window.

Leicester City has only signed Woyo Coulibaly this month, but the club is reportedly negotiating more transfers.

The sale of Tom Cannon to Sheffield United was supposed to be used by the Foxes to bring in new players, however this has not been the case.

Clearly, the club is still dealing with PSR issues, which may have been caused by Steve Cooper’s unexpected dismissal.

Khun Top allegedly said at the time that it was not ideal for Leicester’s finances, but they thought it was a necessary option due to a schism between players and supporters.

Leicester are reportedly considering selling another first-team player to address financial difficulties.

Leicester is willing to listen to proposals for Patson Daka.

Leicester City are open to bids for striker Patterson Daka, despite ongoing PSR issues (The i Paper).

Daka is clearly below Jamie Vardy in the pecking order and has only started one league game, therefore it’s assumed the club would be willing to sell him for the appropriate price.

This leaves Odsonne Eduoard as Vardy’s deputy, which is not ideal for Ruud van Nistelrooy.

But that is an indictment of Leicester’s current financial situation.

Everton has been mentioned as a possible destination for Daka; however, the Toffees want to ensure that any incomings this month are viable long-term possibilities, rather than just stopgaps, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin now sidelined.

Leicester should not take any less than £15 million.

Leicester spent £22 million to recruit Daka in 2021, and it’s fair to say they have yet to see a return on their investment.

The Zambia international has only scored 10 goals in 64 Premier League appearances, and his performance in the Championship last season was disappointing.

With that stated, it makes little sense to sell him for less than £15 million, especially to a relegation competitor like Everton.

If they aren’t making good money that can be reinvested right away, conducting business isn’t worth it.
