John Mousinho’s team is looking to add players to help them stay in the Championship as Pompey is in a relegation battle. Gordon, a young player from Liverpool, has been connected to the Fratton Park team, and Mousinho has a forward on his agenda.
Liverpool sanctioned a loan spell to Norwich City for the 20-year-old, but he failed to make an impact in Johannes Hoff Thorup’s side.
Gordon was recalled by Liverpool in January due to a lack of playing time, and they intend to loan him out once more.
Gordon is a target for Portsmouth, but they think other forwards would be a better fit than the Liverpool winger.
It’s unclear if Pompey will make a move for the Liverpool winger in the winter transfer window, but Gordon is still on their list of potential options.
If Gordon goes out on loan once more, the Merseyside team will want him to have consistent playing time.
Gordon joined Liverpool from Derby County in 2022 and has made seven senior appearances for the Reds.
