Hospital worker accused of planning to kidnap, rape, and murder child
A hospital employee faces charges of conspiring to kill a child. Tracy Turner, an operating room assistant at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, is also charged with planning to abduct and sexually assault the same alleged victim.
In addition to two counts of creating offensive images of a child and one count of perverting the course of justice, Turner, 51, of Ninian Road in Roath, is charged with eight counts: conspiring to rape a girl under the age of thirteen, sexually assaulting her by penetration, touching, and kidnapping, and murdering her. She has entered a not guilty plea to every charge.
The NHS employee is charged jointly with Stuart Compton, a 45-year-old resident of Daniel Street in Cathays, and is suspended from her position while the case is pending.
In response to the same conspiracy charges, he entered a not guilty plea.
Both are scheduled to go on trial in May after making an appearance at Cardiff Crown Court earlier this month.
According to the charge of perverting the course of justice, Turner concealed a cell phone on June 25 of last year “after her partner was arrested.”
She is accused of creating offensive pictures in Categories B and C, which are the second and third most serious categories of unlawful child images, respectively.
Wales Online was informed by a Cardiff and Vale University Health Board spokesperson.
“After we learned of the accusations against the person, the health board suspended them.
The health board has been working with South Wales Police partners on this delicate matter.
While the court case is still pending, we are unable to provide any additional comments.
