Dozens of Firefighters Battle Massive Blaze Involving 400 Vehicles at London Industrial Estate

 

LONDON – Dozens of firefighters have worked through the night to tackle a massive fire involving 400 vehicles at an industrial estate in East London.

 

The fire broke out late on Monday night, quickly engulfing hundreds of parked vehicles. The London Fire Brigade dispatched more than 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines to contain the rapidly spreading flames.

 

Residents in the area reported hearing multiple explosions and seeing thick plumes of smoke rising into the night sky. Authorities urged people nearby to keep their windows and doors closed due to concerns over toxic fumes.

 

Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours, working tirelessly to bring the fire under control. By the early hours of Tuesday morning, the fire was largely contained, but crews remained on site to dampen down remaining hotspots.

 

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but investigators have been deployed to determine what triggered the incident. No injuries have been reported, but the financial damage is expected to be significant.
