Where Celtic and Rangers rank on FIFA list as Club World Cup standings revealed.

The FIFA World Club Cup qualifying rankings have been made public, displaying Celtic and Rangers’ respective positions.

The competition’s next edition is scheduled for 2025, with qualification determined by a competitor’s performance in the previous three years of European competition. Clubs can gain entry by winning the top continental championship within their respective confederation. Manchester City, for instance, qualified by winning the Champions League the previous season, as well as Real Madrid and Chelsea the two seasons prior.

The following teams have all entered by that route: Chelsea, Fluminense, Urawa Reds, Club Leon, Monterrey, Seattle Sounders, Wydad Athletic Club, Palmeiras, Manchester City, Flamengo, Al Ahly, Real Madrid, Al Hilal, and Real Madrid. Clubs who are admitted based on their standing within their confederation are joining them. These include Auckland City, Porto, Benfica, Bayern Munich, Paris SG, and Inter.

The two clubs from Glasgow didn’t even come close, but the whole rankings have been made public, clearly illustrating their differences.

Celtic fans will also be happy to see that they rank significantly higher on the table than their competitors.

Above English Premier League team Newcastle and their Champions League winners Feyenoord, Brendan Rodgers’ team is ranked 37th.

Rangers are located on the 62nd position; the only team behind them is Besiktas, a Turkish team.

Immediately above are people like Ferencváros, Viktoria Plzeň, and Stade Rennais.
