According to the same publication, discussions will likely intensify and conclude after Belgrade’s match against Young Boys on Wednesday evening.
This is Ndiaye’s final game with his current side before moving to England.
The player wants to negotiate a bigger wage than his present one, but obtaining a work visa should not be a problem. The Hornets aim to recruit him as quickly as feasible.
Watford could richly benefit from Cherif Ndiaye signing
Ndiaye is undoubtedly at the prime of his career right now, so the Hornets should get to see him at his finest.
They will be thrilled to bring him in after seeing him prosper in Serbia, if they can finalize a contract.
This appears to be a relatively low-risk move, despite the Hornets paying a considerable sum for him.
It may be argued that they should have opted for a young player who can develop and be sold for a profit, but Ndiaye is still young enough to have a significant influence in the medium term, and he could be an exceptional addition.
It will be interesting to observe how he reacts now that a move appears to be imminent.
