Sunderland AFC facing Jack Clarke 2.0 saga as new Jobe Bellingham claims emerge
Even though the storyline this season is more upbeat, there is a lot of conjecture surrounding Jobe Bellingham’s future, and he will most likely follow suit if the team doesn’t make it to the top flight.
With the teenager stepping up his game this season, it is no surprise that Bellingham is one of the most talked-about prospects in English football.
The most prestigious teams in Europe have reportedly sent scouts to see the 19-year-old midfielder, including Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
The £20 million midfield player wants to stay with the Black Cats until the end of the season, according to a report from The Sun.
Not only are the Bundesliga teams interested in Bellingham, but Thomas Tuchel is also said to have sent his assistant, Anthony Barry, to watch the player play against Burnley.
Bellingham would not be the first Wearsider to be called up to the England squad while playing in the second division; in 1999, both Michael Gray and Kevin Phillips were called up.
Given how many people are watching the teenager, it seems likely that his time at Sunderland will be short, and the only way to keep him around is to promote him.
