Ipswich Town: Dominic Thompson signs for Motherwell

Dominic Thompson left Blackpool to sign a contract with Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership till the conclusion of the current campaign. He was previously on loan from Ipswich Town.

In an attempt to get regular playing time, he joined Stuart Kettlewell’s team. He made his Well debut this past weekend as a substitute in the 60th minute of their 2-1 loss to St Johnstone.

However, the North Lanarkshire club reports that Kettlewell quit as manager of Motherwell, citing personal abuse he endured following a recent slump in results.

Currently ranked fifth in the table, the Scot has been in command of Fir Park for two years. However, they have only won once in nine games, lost three straight, and gone four games without winning.

Thompson made 17 appearances for the Blues during the second half of the 2021–2022 season while on loan from Brentford.
