Tony Mowbray is optimistic. Albion’s leadership is working hard to expand their alternatives in the last week of the transfer market.

Due to injuries and a lack of options, the Baggies are looking to add at least one more centre-forward to give cover and competition.

Albion signed Isaac Price, a 21-year-old midfielder from Standard Liege in Belgium, for a fee of £2.5 million.

Mowbray’s options at the top end of the pitch are limited, but the returning head coach made a joke of the club’s goal-scoring difficulties this season in Saturday’s 5-1 victory against Portsmouth, with Jed Wallace and Grady Diangana leading the way.
