Teen girl who stabbed two teachers and fellow pupil in Welsh school said ‘that’s one way to be a celebrity’, court told
In a court hearing today, a student who attempted to murder two instructors and a classmate during a high school stabbing spree said that her act was “one way to be a celebrity.”
After being charged with three charges of attempted murder at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman school in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, South Wales, the 13-year-old girl made an appearance at Swansea Crown Court on Monday.
According to the court, she screamed, “I’m going to f***ing kill you,” before attacking teachers Fiona Elias, 48, and Liz Hopkin, 53, with a knife along with one of her classmates.
In a retrial, the adolescent acknowledged assaulting the three but denied trying to kill her victims.
According to prosecutor William Hughes KC, the girl informed assistant headteacher Ms. Elias that she wanted to enter a corridor that she was not authorized to be in, which sparked the assault.
When Ms. Elias asked the child about her cargo pants—which were not school pants—she revealed that she was fiddling with something in her pocket.
‘Do you want to see what’s in my pocket?’ said the girl. Before saying, ‘I’m going to f***ing murder you,’ he produced a multi-tool with a silver blade.
Mr. Hughes said that throughout the incident, the girl’s “sinister eyes” were fixed on Ms. Elias, whom she repeatedly stabbed in the arm.
According to him, Mrs. Hopkin, a special education teacher with special needs, was hurt while attempting to prevent the girl from stabbing her coworker.
After calling for help and attempting to stop herself, Ms. Hopkin was stabbed four times, suffering injuries to her arms, legs, back, and neck, making her the “most seriously injured” of the three.
The youngster had ‘a blank expression on her face’, so two male staff members, Stephen Hagget and seasoned rugby instructor Darrell Campbell, encircled her and attempted to soothe her.
After reportedly shouting, “I’m going to f***ing kill you,” she allegedly targeted a neighboring student and stabbed her in the thigh and upper chest before being removed.
According to Mr. Hughes, there was a “serious episode of violence” during the assault, which took place on April 24 of last year at around 11.15 a.m.
After receiving treatment at the hospital, the three claimed victims were allowed to recuperate at home.
After the alleged assaults at the 1,500-student school, Dyfed Powys Police were contacted, and the teenager-who had scratches and wounds on her arms-was held in a classroom until they came and took her into custody.
“I guess things like this don’t happen very often,” the girl said to the cops, before asking, “Are they dead?”
‘I’m very certain this will be on the news, so more eyes will be on me,’ she said. That’s one way to get famous.
The court heard that throughout her police interrogation, she responded “no comment” to every inquiry.
According to Mr. Hughes, authorities discovered a notebook including a sketch of a woman with language that implied murder and death when they searched her family’s house later that day.
Outside the Ysgol Dyffryn Aman School in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, South Wales, there are ambulances.
There were allusions to ‘burning’ and ‘drowning’ a person and slashing their ‘mouth and eyes to death.’
He said that it was “intent to kill” and “demonstrative her intent at the time.”
It is anticipated that the trial before Judge Paul Thomas KC would continue for about two weeks.
For unknown circumstances, the prior trial ended.
