“Fact of the matter”: Analyst claims that the £3 million Celtic player has to have a stronger “impact” at Parkhead.

Over the course of the last two transfer windows, numerous Celtic supporters have expressed concerns over Parkhead’s hiring procedure.

Naturally, there is no more time to waste on that as the Bhoys attempt to win the league for the third time in a row, which will need Brendan Rodgers rotating his team effectively in the last stretch.

As everyone is aware, the Irishman repeatedly responded to calls for “quality” additions to his team prior to the mid-season transfer window opening for business.

In December 2023, he stated to Sky Sports News, “There’s no doubt we have to add extra quality.” We don’t need as many players as we do, but you do need great players if you want to get better.

The only people to enter Parkhead in January were Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn, the latter of whom fetched a price tag of about £3 million.

Still, the former Germany Under-20 international has found it difficult to get going in Glasgow, scoring just once in his first six games against Aberdeen [Transfermarkt].

“Oh, Kuhn, Bernardo, Bernabei – and I’m not sure whether they’re players who can take them to the next level,” stated former Celtics player Alan Stubbs, indicating he doesn’t think Kuhn is of the necessary calibre to play for his old team.

Celtic Winter Transfer Agreement Nicolas Kuhn pushed for advancement

Motherwell player Andy Halliday, who sometimes serves as a pundit, stated on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard that Kuhn needs to have a stronger “impact” right away while at Parkhead.

Even if it’s cruel, he doesn’t have three months to get better. Now is the time for him to have an influence.

The abuse Kuhn has been receiving over the past few weeks does feel a little unfair, but he hasn’t yet demonstrated that he can make up for the cost of his transfer fee with on-field accomplishments.

The 24-year-old only had a pass success percentage of 63% (17/27) against Motherwell despite threading through two crucial passes before being hooked just after the hour mark for Hyunjun Yang [Sofascore].

Even so, the former Ajax winger still has time to establish himself, and he is not the only Celtic player who struggled in their early Hoops career before blossoming.

Hopefully, Kuhn won’t give up and can continue to show off his skills for the duration of the 2023–2024 season.
