Ipswich Town leading race to sign “explosive” new attacker after approach.
Ipswich Town is apparently looking to acquire another attacker before the deadline for Kieran McKenna, following the signings of Jaden Philogene and Julio Enciso earlier this month.

On track for an immediate return to the Championship, Ipswich had no choice but to turn to the transfer market this month, bringing in both Philogene and Enciso. McKenna hopes to see more effect from two impressive recruits, especially the latter, than they did against Premier League leaders Liverpool in an uphill battle for his team.
Recent arrival. Enciso will undoubtedly be eager to make an impression in the coming weeks following his surprising loan move from Brighton & Hove Albion. In a recent interview with the official Ipswich website, he expressed his excitement about being here.

However, the Brighton loanee’s surname may not be on the door. According to Graeme Bailey for The Boot Room, Ipswich have made their first bid to recruit Ryan One from Sheffield United, and are now leading the battle to win the 18-year-old’s signature. Previous reports stated that Portman Road was close to making an offer for One.
The Championship kid is already making an impression on senior football for the Blades and is certainly one to watch. With Liverpool, Brighton, and Tottenham allegedly interested, Ipswich may need to act quickly to sign him before the February 3 deadline.
While the young Scot is unlikely to make an instant impact, he is definitely one for the future, whether at Portman Road or elsewhere.

Ipswich frequently rely on Liam Delap to provide a moment of magic to lift them from the depths of certain defeat. The problem is that, as talented as Delap is, he cannot save The Tractor Boys on his own and urgently requires additional firepower, whether now or in the future.
One, a budding star, may not have an instant influence, but receiving senior opportunities at the highest level could expedite his path to realizing his potential, especially under McKenna’s tutelage. Sheffield United’s player has been described as “explosive” by Scottish football analysts (Scotball), making him a player to keep an eye out for.
With just over a week until the transfer window closes, Ipswich might yet add to the arrivals of Philogene and Enciso.
