‘They must know’: Ally McCoist make Nottingham Forest claim after Everton appeal verdict

Ally McCoist and Jeff Stelling have this morning discussed the situation surrounding Nottingham Forest and a possible points deduction.

The pair were speaking live on TalkSPORT this morning.

So, what have the respectable duo said about the Forest situation – following news that Everton have been given four of their 10 deducted points back? Let’s take a closer look…

Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist on Nottingham Forest situation

Since yesterday’s announcement, it has been a highly discussed issue on several football shows.

After receiving four points back on appeal, Everton has reclaimed the top spot in the Premier League standings over Forest.

Forest may now have a general notion of what to anticipate from the hearing; six points appears to be the worst-case scenario.

After talking about it this morning, Stelling and McCoist concluded that everything is a complete disaster.

On TalkSPORT live on February 27 at 6:27 a.m., Stelling stated, “They’ve made such a hash of it so far, haven’t they? You can tell since they truly enforced such a severe punishment.

“It seems like they’ve put themselves in a straight jacket going forward?

“Even six points is the very minimum that Forest will receive if they are proven guilty.

“I’m not sure if it is the appropriate number. They now have six points as the minimum need for an appeal, which may sound draconian.

I really don’t know if the sentence is appropriate for the offence, but it does seem a little harsh to me.

“Everton claims to be happy with the result, but they won’t be if they drop six more points. It’s only disorganised.

McCoist agreed with his partner in the presentation, saying that more clarity is needed on the whole matter.

During the same programme, he stated: “That’s the thing, nobody knows.” Now, it affects everyone.

“The way it’s been handled is not right.”

Stelling and McCoist have a point

It’s difficult to ignore what the two said in real time this morning on the radio: everything is a total mess.

It does feel like the entire thing is being made up as it goes along at this point

The fan base is experiencing anxiety as they wait anxiously to find out their own fate.

The one bright spot is that Forest may know how many points to anticipate because Everton only lost six points this time.

Forest has hired renowned sports attorney Nick De Marco to represent them, and perhaps he can win things over for the team.
