Owen says he expected the Toffees to get back a few points, but he finds it amazing that they got four.

If the six-point penalty for the first infraction sets a precedent, they might face a similar punishment for the second offence, which could put them back in danger of relegation.
The club’s financial health and administration are also adversely affected by the ongoing inquiry and legal actions, which may have long-term effects in addition to the reduction of points.
Therefore, even though the reduction provides some short-term comfort, they may still have to deal with difficulties and uncertainties in the future as well as the takeover.
