Spurs “more likely” to pursue a player valued at £45–50 million rather than the 22-year-old ace.

In recent months, James Garner and Conor Gallagher have been linked to Tottenham Hotspur.

Ben Jacobs claims that although the North London team values the Everton midfield player, they are not likely to want to sign him after the season ends. Give Me Sport has learned from Jacobs that a summer transfer for Gallagher is increasingly plausible.

“Although Tottenham values the player, nothing substantial has happened thus far. Maybe a better candidate is Conor Gallagher. I also believe that Tottenham may be able to offer a little lower package if Gallagher doesn’t sign a new Chelsea contract and nothing else advances. Mason Mount was a £60 million package to Manchester United, and Chelsea would undoubtedly refer to him and argue that Gallagher is playing better and he only had a year left on his deal. They might so wait for that £55 million to £60 million estimate. However, I believe Tottenham believes that if Gallagher hasn’t signed a new contract by the summer, he might be available for between £45 million and £50 million. In contrast, they believed that was £5 million or £10 million too much last summer. Given Gallagher’s performance, they could think that’s a fairly good deal come summertime.

Tottenham has a great regard for the Chelsea midfield player, but it’s unclear if they can close the deal.

The player will become a free agent in the summer of 2025 and has not yet agreed to a contract extension with Chelsea. At the end of the season, Tottenham believes he might be signed for a sum of approximately £45–50 million.

The 24-year-old Chelsea midfielder has been a vital member of the Blues and has been in fantastic form this year. This season, he has led them on several occasions; it will be interesting to see how things play out.

He is the kind of industrious central midfield player Tottenham needs, particularly if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg departs in the summer.

Gallagher would be perfect for their playing style right now. The Chelsea player is still developing and could get better with more coaching and experience. He might prove useful to them in the long run.

Without a doubt, Gallagher can perform well enough in the upcoming seasons to warrant the £45–50 million estimate. Garner, meanwhile, has contributed significantly to Everton as well. This season, the 22-year-old wants to help Everton avoid the bottom.
