Pundits baffled after what the Premier League are doing to Everton now

Pundits mystified by what the Premier League are doing to Everton presently.

Everton are still waiting for the Premier League’s independent commission to conjure up their verdict over the current appeal.

It is a process that, much like 777 Partners’ takeover, has dragged on for far too long. And yet, those making the judgments are unbothered, seemingly in no actual rush to announce a verdict that may have devastating ramifications for the long-term security of this infamous institution.

The manner in which the Toffees have been treated, a founding side of both the original first division and the Premier League all those years ago, has been terrible.

And now, pundits Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle have sought to combine their influence to agitate against the English top flight.

What Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle said about Everton

Speaking on their podcast for NBC, The 2 Robbies, they were both left incensed as they brushed off Everton’s troubles at the back end of their talk.

Having understandably seen the weekend dominated by the EFL Cup Final and wins for Manchester City and Arsenal, the Toffees’ trip to Brighton and Hove Albion was an afterthought.

This alone works as an obvious indicator of exactly how bothersome the lack of decisiveness is proving to be, relegating football behind the off-pitch issues.

Earle was the first to voice his claim noting: ‘I see Sean Dyche, it might have been before the game Rob I was reading the news and stuff… when are we going to learn out about our appeal, and he’s right. What are they doing? Why are they taking so long?’

Mustoe then jumped in, stating: ‘Come on Premier League get on with it!’

He then continued: ‘You kind of feel that if the Premier League have gone down this route, they’ve got to have the timespan to get this thing over and done with and give Everton a chance.

‘If you’re going to take the points take the points, at least give them an opportunity so we know where we are. The longer you leave it… We await the following week or two when something will be said.
