Rangers: Ally McCoist shares ‘tremendous’ Philippe Clement admission after Hearts win.

Ally McCoist described Rangers’ victory over Hearts at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership as “tremendous,” with Philippe Clement leading the way.

Thanks in part to a superb brace from Cyriel Dessers, the Light Blues defeated Steven Naismith’s team 5-0 on Saturday, February 24, maintaining their two-point lead over Celtic at the top of the Premiership table.

Even though there is still a lot of football still to play before the season ends, McCoist called the outcome for the Gers “fantastic” and acknowledged that he has enjoyed how the team has changed under Clement.

He commented the following Monday, February 26, at 7:55 a.m. on talkSPORT: “Rangers, it has to be said, got a fantastic result at the weekend.” I adore him, he’s doing great [Clement].

“That was a huge, huge performance over the weekend; the outcome was truly amazing.”

This season, can Rangers defeat Celtic to win the Premiership?

Even the most upbeat Rangers supporters acknowledged that Celtic already had a hand on the Premiership trophy this season after Rangers’ loss to Hearts earlier in the season. It feels like a long time ago now.

But after a few months and a new management, the Light Blues are back on top in Glasgow and are currently the team most fans and analysts believe will win the trophy at the end of the campaign.

Even though there is still a ton of football left to play, including domestic cups, league play, and Europe, the Gers have proven with their impressive victory against Hearts that they are capable of defeating any team they play against when they are at their best.

Rangers must improve in the next Old Firm games to stay in this title fight, which will come down to the wire. However, Clement’s team is in the lead and they cannot let this fantastic opportunity pass them by this season.
