Rangers: Keith Jackson shares Michael Beale apology verdict at Ibrox
Following the summer transfer window, Keith Jackson made his decision regarding whether Michael Beale should issue an apology for bringing some of the Rangers’ players to Ibrox.
Beale brought a few players to Ibrox in the summer, including Jack Butland, Cyriel Dessers, Abdallah Sima, and Dujon Sterling, but they didn’t have the expected effect on the team.
But since Philippe Clement joined the team in October, all of them have excelled, contributing significantly to Rangers’ victory over Old Firm rivals Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership standings.
The short answer is no. Beale deserves credit for bringing these players to Ibrox; many of them have contributed significantly to Clement’s season-long success thus far.
The stars in question, however, have only truly begun to shine under the current Belgian management, demonstrating how crucial the move was.
Since being fired in October, Beale has demonstrated his managerial style in detail.
been shown the door at the Stadium of Light after only three months in command of Sunderland, having lost seven of his thirteen games in charge and infuriating the supporters of the Black Cats.
Since taking over at Ibrox, Clement has performed a fantastic job of making the most of the same players while giving the impression that they are all new additions.
Dessers is the ideal illustration of this. The Scotsman reported that the Nigerian attacker appeared to be a waste of £4.5 million, but under Clement, he has blossomed, scoring 12 goals in 24 league games so far this season.
While any manager can afford to sign players, only few managers are able to get the very best performance out of them.
