Rangers: Kris Boyd responds as Celtic fans shout at him in Sky Sports studio at Motherwell

Following Sunday’s thrilling victory against Motherwell, Hoops supporters were heard yelling at the former Gers forward in the Sky Sports studio (25 February). The pundit stated there are some pleased individuals about the Parkhead club trimming the difference from five points down to two when presenter Eilidh Barbour brought up the issue. The Light Blues are still in the lead after their 5-0 victory over Hearts on Saturday, February 24.

“A few people are pleased that the difference is now only two instead of five points,” Boyd remarked. “Are they your buddies?” Barbour enquired. “Something is being shouted at you.”

Rangers firmly on top despite Celtic victory

After trailing Motherwell at halftime, Celtic’s two goals in injury time gave them all three points, which was undoubtedly a much-needed victory. The Hoops would have knew they had to win in order to avoid having a very difficult time catching up to an exceptionally strong Rangers team.

Given his accomplishments at Ibrox and the fact that Boyd rarely says nice things about the Parkhead club—just like his fellow Sky Sports commentator Chris Sutton doesn’t about the Gers—it’s hardly surprising that he receives some criticism. After their convincing victory against a Hearts team that entered the game in excellent form, Philippe Clement will be feeling extremely optimistic about his side’s title chances. The fact that the Light Blues are leading the SPL standings after another weekend will undoubtedly delight half of Glasgow.
