Rangers: Kris Boyd responds as Celtic fans shout at him in Sky Sports studio at Motherwell
Kris Boyd has reminded supporters of Celtic about the two-point lead Rangers now hold over them in the Premier League.
Following Sunday’s thrilling victory against Motherwell, Hoops supporters were heard yelling at the former Gers forward in the Sky Sports studio (25 February).
The pundit stated there are some pleased individuals about the Parkhead club trimming the difference from five points down to two when presenter Eilidh Barbour brought up the issue. The Light Blues are still in the lead after their 5-0 victory over Hearts on Saturday, February 24.
“A few people are pleased that the difference is now only two instead of five points,” Boyd remarked.
“Are they your buddies?” Barbour enquired. “Something is being shouted at you.”
Boyd said, “There are a few happy ones, wow.”
Rangers remain well ahead despite Celtic’s triumph.
After trailing Motherwell at halftime, Celtic’s two goals in injury time gave them all three points, which was undoubtedly a much-needed victory.
The Hoops would have knew they had to win in order to avoid having a very difficult time catching up to an exceptionally strong Rangers team.
Boyd receiving some criticism is understandable given his accomplishments at Ibrox and because
Participate Like his colleague Sky Sports commentator Chris Sutton, he doesn’t always have positive things to say about the Parkhead club.
After their convincing victory against a Hearts team that entered the game in excellent form, Philippe Clement will be feeling extremely optimistic about his side’s title chances.
The fact that the Light Blues are leading the SPL standings after another weekend will undoubtedly delight half of Glasgow.
