The entire parking lot of the pub is cordoned off.

A large cordon has been placed around a tavern in the Top Valley after a potential shooting.

On Sunday morning, the Duke of St Albans bar on Bewcastle Road was the location of the police tape.

The cordon, which included the establishment’s parking lot and a nearby hand car wash, was manned by three police vehicles.

There were cars inside the cordon, but it wasn’t clear who owned them.

Nottinghamshire Police released the following statement: “On February 10, at around 11 p.m., police were called to allegations of a disturbance on Bestwood Park Drive.

When officers arrived, they discovered a 25-year-old guy who had suffered severe injuries that they thought were brought on by a gun.

Nobody else was hurt. Although the inquiry is still ongoing, it is thought to be a singular incidence.

“A scene has been set up and is anticipated to stay that way for the remainder of the day.

“If you have any information, please call us at 101 and reference incident number 932 of February 10.”

What residents are saying

Symon Akinin is a 26-year-old receptionist and has lived in the area for three years.

He said: “When I looked out of my window I could see armed police. There was an ambulance and police cars, and a police car driving around the roundabout checking out the situation.

A large number of people were gathered outside.

It took a long time before everything was resolved. Someone was taken from the side of the tavern, where the pool tables are, and placed in the ambulance before it left.

It truly is horrible to witness. You see armed police officers outside your window.

“We’ve had a van set ablaze on the roundabout and someone crash their car, so we see the police a bit, but nothing this serious before,” he continued. He had been living here for three years.
