Joe Mazzulla, Luke Kornet Provide Update on Sam Hauser.

Sam Hauser was enjoying a productive night in the Boston Celtics’ first game back from the All-Star break.

The six-foot-eight sharpshooter went 3/3, knocked down both threes he lifted, and put eight points on the board. He also got stops against DeMar DeRozan, blocked Andre Drummond, and scored a plus-six plus-minus rating.

But 35 seconds after sinking a shot from the left wing, the third-year forward suffered an unintended elbow to the face from teammate Luke Kornet.

Hauser had a welt above his eye and did not return to the game.

After the Celtics 129-112 win over the Chicago Bulls in the Windy City, Joe Mazzulla indicated that the Wisconsin native is “good.”

Kornet, who provided ten points and grabbed four offensive rebounds in a strong effort, helping Boston improve its NBA-leading record to 44-12, also mentioned the event, as caught by CLNS Media.

He is alright. I hit him hard. I suppose I got kind of pushed against him, and I felt awful because the second it happened, I was like, ‘That was not good.'”

The seven-foot-two center continued, “I felt like he was gonna get knocked out or something. So, I’m delighted he’s alright. His eye’s a little puffy, but for the most part, he’s alright.”
