Brendan Rodgers is still attempting to determine which Celtic lineup is the strongest.

He has been switching around the center-back position, with Auston Trusty and Liam Scales vying for a consistent starting berth.

Cameron Carter-Vickers is the primary guy at the back, but Rodgers can’t seem to decide who the man is to partner him with on a long-term basis.

Scales was terrific last season and it was a breakthrough campaign for the Irishman after years of being on the outside.

However, the powers that be made a significant investment in Trusty from Sheffield United this summer in order to bolster Celtic’s team, and it’s obvious that he wasn’t brought in to warm the bench.

But Trusty was substituted out at halftime against Rangers, and last month the Bhoys won the League Cup final in a penalty shootout.

What is it like to play against the two? The American didn’t have a fantastic game, but his center-back didn’t exactly show off much better during the Ibrox horror show after the New Year.

According to Kyle Vassell, Auston Trusty is easier to deal with than Liam Scales.
Kyle Vassell, a striker for Kilmarnock, has led the charge against Scales and Trusty and gave insight into their personalities.
