Brendan Rodgers breaks Celtic silence on forgotten Alexandro Bernabei amid £8million transfer race

Brendan Rodgers has been asked about Alexandro Bernabei and whether he would play for Celtic again.

He has appeared 21 times in all competitions for Porto Alegre, providing four assists and scoring three goals.

Several Brazilian clubs are interested in signing the 24-year-old on a permanent basis due to his impressive performances.

Corinthians and other teams were reportedly interested in an £8 million deal if Internacional declined.

Celts, however, have been satisfied with Alex Valle’s performance since his loan move from Barcelona, while first-choice Greg Taylor continues to set the standard.

When asked if the custodian would be given another chance in Glasgow, the Northern Irishman declined to disclose anything.
