There is yet more unrest at the club as 777 Partners are awaiting approval before they can complete their acquisition of the Toffees.

The continuous story of who would own Everton has persisted in the background amidst all the turmoil and upheaval of the past six months, especially the 10 point deduction in November.
The club revealed in September of last year that 777 Partners had decided to fully acquire Farhad Moshiri and take over as the Blues’ new owners.
However, they required the approval of numerous regulatory organizations from both inside and outside of football in order to accomplish that.
As a result, the approval procedure started, and Everton fans, the team, and others are still awaiting the resolution and clearing of the final obstacle.

Though one regulatory obstacle was removed, others still stand in the way as it has continued to drag on. Though it now appears improbable, there had been rumors recently that a decision will be reached before the end of this month.

As they wait for the outcome of their application, 777 Partners have continued to subsidize the club with millions of dollars.

This presents extremely concerning short- and long-term financial viability problems for the Toffees, particularly if the US company is unable to close the acquisition.

There are currently new concerns regarding the Miami-based investors whose credit rating was reduced on one of their subsidaries by a ratings agency because of 777Re’s balance sheets.

This has raised further concerns about the group’s overall financial sustainability because 777 Re ostensibly contributes to the funding of 777 Partners as a whole.

Everton is in dire need of stability following a plethora of issues both on and off the field.

The past several seasons have seen two straight seasons of nearly being demoted, typical managerial turnover, ongoing financial difficulties, missteps in the transfer market, and last year’s points deduction.

But the process continues with no sign that a swift decision regarding this takeover will be made anytime soon.

Additionally, the Blues’ recent performance has not been good, keeping them in the thick of a relegation battle that once again appears certain to go right down to the wire. Will this club’s situation ever improve?
