Brereton Diaz is “Buzzing” to Rejoin Sheffield United Again as Blades Close in on More Signings
According to Alex Crook, Ben Brereton Diaz has made a spectacular comeback to Sheffield United. He joined the team on loan from Southampton with the option to make the transfer permanent in the summer for £10 million.
Since his first stint, the forward’s abilities have impressed the team’s manager, Chris Wilder, who has warmly welcomed the Chilean international’s second stint at Bramall Lane.
Brereton Diaz attracted interest from a number of clubs after making an impression with United in the Premier League the previous season. In the summer, he signed a big contract with Southampton from La Liga team Villarreal. He has only played in eight Premier League games this season, though, making his tenure on the south coast less productive. Wilder has closely monitored the player despite his dismal performance at Southampton and is desperate to see him return to Bramall Lane.
“Everyone can really relate to this,” Wilder said on the club’s website. In the second half of the season, Ben will be a crucial member of our team. He was fantastic for us throughout a difficult season last year, and we would have delighted to have kept him, but the Southampton transfer was too good to refuse.
Speaking about his comeback on SUTV, Brereton Diaz said he was thrilled to be joining the Blades again.
“I’m ecstatic,” he declared. “Last season was a lot of fun. I was thrilled to learn that this might be possible because I knew some of the players and the staff. I can’t wait to get back.
Additionally, Brereton Diaz praised his relationship with Wilder and gave the manager credit for helping him grow during his time at Sheffield United.
Since the last time, we have maintained communication. I’ve worked with Jack Lester before, so I know the staff well, and he was fantastic with me. I had a great time here. Chris has done a fantastic job, and I would like to play for him.
Brereton Diaz, who reflected on the changes in the Sheffield United team since his last stay, commended the current team’s tenacity while acknowledging the difficulties the club encountered in the summer. The team was strong the previous season, and I got along with everyone. Although it may have seemed like a scary period at Sheffield United because so many players left in the summer, they have performed incredibly well. This season, the excellent team that the coach and his staff have assembled is evident. The players have been outstanding.

According to the TEAMtalk reporter, Jonjoe Kenny, a target for United, has agreed to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Blades from Bundesliga 2 team Hertha Berlin.
After assuming an intriguing role as a falseback in the right-back position, the former Everton right-back has been an outstanding performer for the German team this season. In order to conduct play on the right half-space, Kenny has been allowed to move freely into a centre midfield position. He has posted some outstanding passing and inventive numbers this term as a result of this.
