Sky Sports: Luiz on list of midfield targets for Man City.

Douglas Luiz is a midfield target for Manchester City as the team explores options for a new number 6. City’s interest might grow if Juventus agrees to a direct six-month loan deal with no caveats for a permanent move; Luiz only joined Juve from Aston Villa last summer. Douglas Luiz is among Manchester City’s midfield targets. City are looking into several options for a new No. 6, including former Aston Villa midfielder Luiz, who has only played 16 times for Juventus this season. Interest from the Premier League champions may intensify if Juventuswho only signed the 26-year-old in the summer, are willing to agree to a straight six-month loan deal with no clauses for a permanent transfer.

City is not guaranteed to make an addition in this position during this window, but it is possible if the deal is suitable for them. Sky Sports News has already stated that they will not pursue Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, who is expected to join Arsenal this summer, or Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes. Luiz is set to depart Juventus in some way this month, and the former Aston Villa player hopes to return to the Premier League.

He only joined Juventus last summer in a £21 million transaction that also included winger Samuel Iling-Junior and midfielder Enzo Barrenechea, both of whom have since been loaned out. The Brazilian midfielder has signed a five-year contract with Juventus. Luiz scored nine goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season, helping Unai Emery’s side qualify for the Champions League in fourth place. Any potential move to City would mark Luiz’s return to the Etihad Stadium, where he spent 2017 and 2019 without making a single appearance. Marmoush expects to fly to the UK this week to complete the City transfer.Omar Marmoush

Meanwhile, Omar Marmoush is set to go to the UK early this week to finalise his transfer to Manchester City. City reached a verbal agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign striker Marmoush on Friday, but he was left out of the Eintracht squad that defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Bundesliga on Friday evening, with the German club confirming they were “in talks with another club regarding the transfer of Omar Marmoush”. Marmoush, who can play in any of the front three positions, has 15 goals in the Bundesliga this season, one behind Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, who leads the rankings with 16. Omar Marmoush was spotted standing in arms with his Frankfurt colleagues taking in the atmosphere after their 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund.
