With Isaac Price on the verge of signing for West Bromwich Albion, the Belgian media continue to add little snippets about the ongoing transfer situation.
Price moved to Standard Liege in 2023, having come to the end of his time with Everton. Born in Pontefract, Price had moved over to Merseyside and went through the system at Everton before meeting something of a barrier when it came to breaking through to the first team.
Now 21-years-of-age, the midfielder’s decision to take the gamble of a move to Belgian football appears to have paid off.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports West Brom will be paying €3m to Standard Liege for the midfielder, a figure which includes potential bonus payments.
That’s described as being the final agreement between the two clubs for Price, and West Brom have also agreed to pay Standard Liege a percentage of capital gain from a future transfer. That refers to the profit West Brom would make between what they bought for and what they receive in any sale.
