Rovers are 5th in the Championship table, but Watford, Middlesbrough, and West Brom are only a point behind.

Coventry City improved their position in the division by three points during the weekend. They won their home game against Bristol City 1-0.

Brandon Thomas-Asante, who has been linked with a move to Blackburn Rovers this month, scored the winning goal for the Sky Blues.

After the victory, Frank Lampard’s side is 14th, nine points behind the top six and six ahead of the bottom three.
