One club have ‘looked at hijacking’ a deal that Sunderland are expected to try to do in the summer and ‘are aware’ of how they could set about doing so, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Sunderland are soaring in the Championship under Regis Le Bris, and the Black Cats have recently signed midfielder Enzo Le Fee on loan from Roma.
Le Fee played the full 90 minutes in Friday night’s 0-0 draw at Burnley and was booked in the process.
Wilson Isidor, an attacker, also played the whole 90 minutes at Turf Moor, and Sunderland has him on loan with the option to buy.
The team intends to exercise the option, although the sum with Zenit St Petersburg has not to be fully discussed.
At least one other team has looked at potentially hijacking the deal for Isidor.
It is said that they are aware of how they could accomplish it if they desired to.
The 24-year-old has caught the attention with his performances for Sunderland in the Championship, and he is gaining fans outside of the Stadium of Light.
If Sunderland make it to the Premier League, they are likely to like their chances of keeping the former Lokomotiv Moscow player.
