After a rocky start, Shayden Morris eased Dons nerves with a low strike from a Duk ball, and Duk himself scored twice in the second half to seal the victory over a home side that saw Lyall Booth sent off after 75 minutes. Martin Boyle resumed his scoring streak, helping Hibernian advance to the Scottish Cup fifth round with a 3-0 win over Clydebank. The Australian international, who has scored twice in each of the last three games, broke the deadlock inside two minutes. However, West of Scotland Premier League leaders Clydebank dug in, and Hibs had to wait until the start of the second period to extend their lead.

That goal arrived through Rudi Molotnikov before Boyle added his second.

Makenzie Kirk’s early goal provided much-needed pleasure for St Johnstone fans while also ensuring Motherwell’s elimination from the cup. Kirk scored on the rebound in the ninth minute, St Johnstone’s first goal in the event since Shaun Rooney’s winner in the 2021 final against Hibernian. They have now fallen to Kelty Hearts, Rangers, and Airdrie in the fourth round.

Kirk’s goal proved enough to send Saints into the fifth round with a 1-0 win and ended a nine-game run without victory that has seen them slide nine points adrift in the Premiership. The win will give them hope they can cut the gap next week when they host Motherwell again.
