Coventry City team to face Bristol City as Frank Lampard drops regular to the bench
Coventry City face Bristol City at the CBS Arena today. Here is how they line up
As Frank Lampard makes just one change from the team that ultimately defeated Sheffield Wednesday on penalties
in the FA Cup last weekend, Bobby Thomas is benched for Coventry City on Saturday. Joel Latibeaudiere returns to
the starting lineup, although Thomas, who has started every league game since September, makes way here.
Jay Dasilva maintains his position as a left wingback in the starting lineup, surpassing Jake Bidwell, who on Friday
inked a new deal with the Sky Blues. In front of them Josh Eccles, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, and shootout winner
Norman Bassette are among the substitutes, while Brandon Thomas-Asante joins Ellis Simms in attacking.
City, of course, remain without key trio Haji Wright, Ephron Mason-Clark and Ben Sheaf, while Ben Wilson, who is
back in training again after three months out with a knee problem, remains an absentee with Brad Collins’ inclusion
in the squad continuing.
