Insider Reveals Alex Bregman’s Price Tag For Houston Astros

An insider discloses Alex Bregman’s Houston Astros contract price.

The Houston Astros may be about to give Alex Bregman a significant contract extension.

After extending Jose Altuve, the Houston Astros now have difficult choices to make.

In the upcoming two offseasons, Alex Bregman, Kyle Tucker, and Framber Valdez are all due for big contracts.

It wouldn’t be shocking if one of them left to play for another team. Considering his advanced age and possible high price, Brigman might be the odd man out.

Although Valdez is older than he is, the 30-year-old left-hander has been among the best in the game for the past two seasons. Pitching is a must in this league in order to succeed.

There’s still hope that the Astros extend all of them, but it’s not likely at all. With Jeremy Pena and other people, they’ve demonstrated their faith in their development system in the past, so this could not be all that different.

Dana Brown did state that he would extend Bregman’s contract, but he did not provide a figure.

The problem is that Bregman may get upwards of $200 million. The New York Post’s Jon Heyman claims that Bregman’s contract might resemble Xander Bogaerts’.

“It will be harder for the Astros to lock up Alex Bregman, who’s seeking a longer deal, probably along the lines of Xander Bogaerts’ deal.”

Bogaerts and the San Diego Padres agreed to an 11-year, $280 million contract.

Presumably, Bregman will sign his contract when he reaches 30, which is when he signed his at 30.

Brown and Jim Crane must make a difficult choice.

Losing Bregman removes another member of the dynasty from the organization, on the one hand. However, spending more than $200 million elsewhere could be a wiser use of that money to extend their championship window.
