Nottingham Forest approach club via ‘official’ means to sign long term target

According to Turkish media, Nottingham Forest has intensified their efforts once more to capture Barış Alper Yılmaz, a forward for Galatasaray. After making an impression at Euro 2024, the 24-year-old has been linked to a move to the Premier League team since the summer. Near the close of the last window, there were rumors that Forest had submitted a bid for the winger.

Report from Fotospor Now, Nottingham Forest and Lazio have “officially” approached Galatasaray to inquire about the possibilities of the Istanbul team selling Yılmaz prior to the transfer deadline. The attacker was reportedly scouted by both clubs at a recent Galatasaray match, but it now appears that they could have to wait until the summer to sign him.

The Super Lig team is eager to hang onto Gala at least through the conclusion of the season because they are battling on three fronts for a trophy. Recently, Okan Buruk, Cimbom’s manager, has also stated that he wants his star forward to stay with the team. Galatasaray has a contract with Yılmaz that expires in June 2027.
