Michael Irvin Names 1 RB He Hopes Cowboys Sign.

The Dallas Cowboys, as they always do, crumbled in the playoffs following a successful regular season, falling down 27-0 late in

the second quarter of the Wild Card round and losing to the Green Bay Packers.

While their defense broke apart in that game, they also need to improve their running game.

On FS1’s “Undisputed,” Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, a Cowboys great, expressed his desire that his former team

would sign star running back Derrick Henry.

Henry will be one of a few fascinating free-agent running backs this offseason, and he is likely to have several suitors.

He has been to the Pro Bowl four of the last five seasons with the Tennessee Titans, and this year he rushed for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The issue is that Henry recently turned 30, and his efficiency has dropped in recent seasons, particularly after suffering a Jones fracture in 2021.

Running backs frequently endure a major drop in performance around the age of 30, and it remains to be seen whether a team

will offer him a large contract, especially given that the NFL’s running back market has collapsed.

Tony Pollard, Dallas’ new full-time starting running back, rushed for 1,005 yards and six touchdowns in 2023, although he scored

nine touchdowns in 2022, and his yards per rush attempt average dropped from 5.2 to 4.0.

The Cowboys had an average running offense, making their total attack simpler to defend at the end of the day.
