Everton takeover: 777 Partners hit by ‘gigantic exodus’ after CFO resignation

Everton acquisition: Following the CFO’s dismissal, 777 Partners saw a “gigantic exodus.”

Paul Brown claims that 777 Partners is close to finalizing an Everton takeover, which is why the CFO’s departure is a part of a “gigantic exodus” from the organization.

In response to the news that Damien Alfalla had departed the Miami-based company, the journalist said on Twitter on February 16 that he had been informed it was a part of a larger departure.

Brown had previously informed Josémar that 777 had received fresh inquiries from the Premier League the day before.

The most recent information coincides with reports that the FA has already granted its clearance and that an announcement regarding the much anticipated takeover is expected to be made before the end of the month, according to the Telegraph (15 February).

Potential new Everton owners in disarray after leaving?

As quickly as there appears to be progress on the Toffees takeover front, it is counteracted by what also seems to be progress back.

From the time that the company founded by Josh Wander and Steven Pasko struck a deal with Farhad Moshiri, competing reports have surfaced from various angles.

It seems like 777 has been moving closer to taking control at Goodison Park despite constant arguments that they can’t, or at least shouldn’t.

However, it has taken a while to receive a response, and if more queries from Richard Masters’ extremely unpopular Premier League office have arisen recently, it at least creates the appearance that the sale hasn’t gone as planned.

A “gigantic exodus” doesn’t seem to be beneficial to any business, least of all one that is purportedly struggling to maintain operations as they are.

According to Brown’s reporting, 777 needs Everton and the money the team can bring in—possibly even more than the Toffees need new ownership—as well as the new stadium.

Therefore, it would seem that significant exits might have a destabilizing effect if the company is struggling to stay afloat.

Alley McCoist responded live on air to a “really, really sad” scenario at Goodison Park, where a player is now expected to leave, in other Everton news.
