Rangers linked striker in £10m price tag hike, Michael Beale was a fan

Michael Beale was a supporter; Rangers linked a striker in a £10 million price tag rise.

Deniz Undav, a former Rangers target has demonstrated that Brighton, who are renowned for having one of the most organized recruitment and player trade schemes, is no exception.

With 15 goals and five assists in 21 games this season while on loan at Stuttgart, the 27-year-old has helped the Bundesliga to its best finish in over a decade.

However, the transfer that was orchestrated by the Premier League team sees Deniz Undav—a player who Rangers may have considered—go too pricey for a team hoping to qualify for the Champions League.

Rangers lose out when the cost of Deniz Undav skyrockets.

Get Football News Germany claims that Undav’s deal includes an option to buy.

Stuttgart’s issue stems from the fact that the condition tying the deal to his performance is thought to be worth nearly twice as much as the initially stated €12 million (£10.2 million), or around £17 million.

This might sound harsh, but Undav’s performance virtually ensures a place in Germany’s squad for the European Championships.

To put things in perspective, could you sign one of England’s strikers for that kind of money?

He is a top-tier striker for Union Saint-Gilloise, as seen by his remarkable 45 goals and 18 assists in 70 appearances, which are added to his Bundesliga record.

Brighton has scouted a fantastic talent, but it hasn’t worked out, much like how Abdulallah Sima was flying high for Rangers before an injury interrupted his season.

This is where clubs can benefit from the loan market.

Undav’s worth was declining at Brighton, but now they are poised to make a handsome £10+ profit out of a £6m signing who was giving them very little. If Stuttgart doesn’t, someone will take him off their hands.

Sadly, that someone won’t be a Ranger because, similar to the Germans, he currently costs a little too much for Philippe Clement.
