Aston Villa’s potential January departures, including Clement Lenglet

As the January transfer window draws near, Villa supporters want to see the team expand on their already stellar summer

transfer window business. To make major acquisitions, the Villans could have to reduce their roster, though, as a few high-paid

players aren’t playing enough to justify their current salaries.

Morgan Sanson, a midfielder for Villa who is currently on loan at OGC Nice, stated in an interview with Get French Football

News that he would like to remain there permanently:

I believe I’ll remain here for a while, even if there is a permanent option with very achievable clauses. I’ll exert every effort to make sure the option is activated.

Meanwhile, Sport in Spain claims that because Bayern Munich is interested in the Frenchman, Villa is ready to terminate Lenglet’s season-long loan from Barcelona. The 28-year-old has struggled to get into Emery’s starting lineup in front of Diego Carlos, Torres, and Ezri Konsa. Lenglet is set to leave for Bayern Munich in return for €15 million (£12.8 million) from Barcelona.

Villa’s final group stage encounter of the Europa Conference League will take place at Zrinjski Mostar on December 14. Villa can escape a two-leg play-off by advancing to the competition’s final 16 with just one point remaining. The Villans will next visit Brentford on December 17 in an effort to win three straight Premier League games.
