It’s unclear what Chelsea will have discussed in their last communication regarding this potential transfer, but Phillips has suggested that the west London club may be increasing up efforts to arrange personal terms with the player. Delap has demonstrated remarkable promise for Ipswich this season, scoring eight goals and assisting twice in the Premier League. Delap, who is only 21 years old, is expected to have a lot more to offer Chelsea in the long run.
