Plymouth Argyle forward Tegan Finn is attracting Premier League interest, according to a report by Football Insider.
Plymouth Argyle may have to fend off some attention from clubs higher up the football pyramid for the youngster. PAFC have until the end of the January transfer window to complete any incoming or outgoing bits of business.
Finn, 16, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and has already broken into the first-team picture at Home Park. He has made three appearances in all competitions so far this season.
In this latest update regarding his situation with the Pilgrims, Football Insider claim some top flight teams are monitoring his progress. The identity of his potential suitors are yet to be known at this stage.
Plymouth Argyle are currently sat bottom of the Championship table. They drew 1-1 at home to Oxford United last time out and are in the bottom three along with Portsmouth and Hull City.
Plymouth Argyle’s Tegan Finn wanted
Finn is a player who will want to cement a place in the Pilgrims’ starting XI down the line.
They won’t want to lose him anytime soon, especially mid-way through a campaign.
However, it may be hard to stand in the way if a bigger club comes calling.
He has been on the books at Plymouth Argyle for his whole career to date and has risen up through their academy ranks.
Finn has been a regular for the Devon outfit at various different youth levels over recent times.
He penned his first professional contract in October last year and made his senior debut a month later against Leeds United.
The Pilgrims’ former boss Wayne Rooney said back in September, as per BBC Sport: “He [Finn] is with the first-team squad. He’ll drop back down [to the youth academy] to play games when he needs game time but I think what’s important is that he’s with us and he’ll be available for selection. I have no problem putting him in the squad and playing him.
“I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve seen from him out in Spain in pre-season. What we have to do now is get him up to speed, but I’m really excited with him.”
What now for Tegan Finn at Plymouth Argyle?
Time will tell whether any official bids come in for Finn.In the meantime, Plymouth Argyle are preparing for their upcoming clash against QPR.
