According to a report from Eleven Warriors, former Ohio State football linebacker James Laurinaitis is getting promoted to
linebackers coach.Though Laurinaitis had been assisting defensive coordinator Jim Knowles in the LB coaching, he is now
officially in charge of the position. Before the Cotton Bowl, Knowles had nothing but positive things to say about him.
Regarding James Laurinaitis, Jim Knowles remarked, “He’s really important.” “You have a man that is a Silver Bullet, a real
Buckeye, and a three-time All-American. He takes care of a lot of the linebacker duties, freeing me up to work on other projects. He has truly been essential to our accomplishments.
When Laurinaitis arrived to coach at Ohio State, this was always his aim. Being the greatest LB coach in the country was his
stated aim when joining the Buckeyes last year. He now has the opportunity to accomplish it.
“I believe that being the greatest linebacker coach in the nation is where it all begins for me.” said Laurinaitis. Is it possible for me to succeed at my old school? I think that’s pretty much the first thing that comes to mind. I’ll approach this year with that perspective.
