Who Is the Legend in Coaching? Ohio State is being interviewed by Browns.

Despite having a lot of injuries this season, the Cleveland Browns impressed a lot of people by finishing with an 11-6 record and qualifying for the playoffs for only the third time since their current roster started play in 1999.

If injured studs Nick Chubb and Deshaun Watson return for the upcoming season, there are still doubts about their availability, but if they do, the team should be a serious contender in the AFC. After losing to the Houston Texans in the wild-card playoff round, they have made a few coaching staff changes, including the appointment of Ken Dorsey as the new offensive coordinator in place of Alex Van Pelt.

The Browns are interviewing Ohio State University’s James Laurinaitis, the linebackers coach, according to CFB Focus. yet it’s not apparent for what role he’s doing the interview.

A brief update for OSU staff and coaches:

I’ve been informed that James Laurinaitis, the linebackers coach and graduate assistant at OSU, is interviewing with the Cleveland Browns. I’m not sure what the position would entail because a cursory glance at their club website reveals that they currently have a linebackers coach…

Between 2005 and 2008, Laurinaitis spent four seasons as a student at Ohio State, where he was selected three times as a consensus All-American, three times as a member of the First team All-Big Ten, and twice as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.

The St. Louis Rams, who selected him in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft, were his home team for seven of his eight seasons as an NFL player.

Defensive end Myles Garrett was voted Defensive Player of the Year, and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who led the team in tackles and tackles for loss and was selected to his first Pro Bowl, helped the Browns win a lot of games this season.
