Wolves ‘complete’ £23m signing ahead of Everton and Ipswich Town

After the attacker reached the number of games needed to activate a purchase clause, Wolves will finalize the signing of Jorgen Strand Larsen on a permanent basis. The Old Gold have been extremely impressed with Strand Larsen’s performance over the last five months and are more than willing to pay the £23 million needed to secure his long-term contract. Strand Larsen was originally signed on a season-long loan from Spanish La Liga team Celta Vigo for a fee of £2.5 million. He has played 20 Premier League games and twice in cup competitions, which is enough to activate the relevant clause to prolong his stay at Molineux.

The 19-time Norway international has already scored seven goals and provided three assists in all competitions. According to Birmingham World, Strand Larsen will sign a new contract that will keep him at Wolves until June 2029. He can play as an out-and-out center-forward or off either flank and has shown that he is not only a good target man but also a respectable dribbler in back. His link-up play with Wolves’ star player, Matheus Cunha, has been amazing, even though the Old Gold has struggled for much of the season.

Strand Larsen was only benched once by new manager Vitor Pereira, away at Tottenham Hotspur, to guard against injury following a string of games played quickly after one another. For many more years to come, the 24-year-old is anticipated to be Wolves’ preferred striker.

A number of Premier League relegation rivals, including Everton and Ipswich Town, have been hit hard by the news that Strand Larsen has joined Wanderers permanently. Barring any injuries, the striker will be available to help retain his team in the top division because Celta cannot recall him before he permanently joins Wolves.
