On Wednesday, the Las Vegas Raiders signed Keenan Isaac, a former Alabama school standout and Alabama State defensive back, to their practice squad.
The cornerback became available after being cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 12.
Isaac appeared in two games for the Bucs as an undrafted rookie in 2023 and five games for Tampa Bay this year.
Isaac’s regular-season experience with the Buccaneers was exclusively on special teams.
Isaac, a standout football and basketball player at Midfield High School, started in the Alabama State secondary as a freshman.
Martin, a defensive end and tight end from Tuscaloosa’s Northridge High School who also played basketball and shot for the Jaguars’ track team, began his college football career in 2017 with a redshirt season at North Alabama.
Martin started every game at UNA for the following three seasons before moving on to Western Kentucky for two years. Detroit traded the 122nd, 139th, and 168th picks in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Arizona Cardinals for Martin with the 96th pick.
Martin appeared in three games as a rookie for Detroit. The Lions will meet the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday at 12:00 CST. The Raiders face the Denver Broncos at 3:05 p.m. Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
