Two young Brighton and Hove Albion players head north

One of the two young Brighton & Hove Albion players that left for the north is on loan till the end of the current campaign.
As Albion gets ready to meet Celtic in the league tomorrow, they have traded 21-year-old defender Imari Samuels to Dundee of the Scottish Premiership.
Louis Flower, a 20-year-old center forward, is anticipated to play for Gateshead in the National League for the remainder of the season.
“Imari Samuels has completed a permanent move to Dundee of the Scottish Premiership for undisclosed terms,” Albion stated.
Before making his senior first-team debut in our 4-0 EFL Cup victory over Crawley Town in August 2024, the full-back joined our under-21 squad in August 2022.
Imari has developed really well during his time with us, and that culminated in his first team debut earlier this season,” stated technical director David Weir.
“He needs to play regular first team football now, and this move should provide him with that opportunity.” We hope the future holds nothing but the best for him.
Samuels was included in two Premier League match-day squads this season in addition to earning his League Cup debut with the first team.
“He’s someone that’s always been on the radar since I’ve been in the club,” said Dundee manager Tony Docherty, who was thrilled to sign Samuels.
“A young left-back or wing-back from Brighton with incredible promise, Imari has been a target every transfer window. He paid to travel from Reading to Brighton.

He has played for England up to the under-20 level in every age group. Getting him on a permanent basis is fantastic for the club. We want to help him reach his full potential because he is a very skilled, technical player.
He had other suitors, so we are really happy that he came here. However, he picked this place because he wanted to join after seeing some of the development work we done with other younger players.
Louis Flower is on loan to the National League outfit Gateshead for the rest of the season.
“The 20-year-old joined us in September 2023 and has made 22 Premier League 2 appearances for our under-21s, scoring eight goals,” Albion stated.
Louis is making a solid transition into a first team setting, Weir stated. He has performed admirably with our under-21 team, and we are eager to see how he grows over the next months.
Louis will be closely monitored by Gordon Greer and his staff while he is with Gateshead.
