Given that his two-decade tenure with the Owls occurred in the early 1900s, Andrew Wilson is not a man who many people will remember today, but he is likely to be recognized as the club’s greatest player of all time because he had the most appearances and goals. Twenty years is a significant commitment.

Unfortunately, only a small number of Wednesday’s greatest scorers have scored 50 goals or more for the team during the 1990s, and many of the current generation of fans will only know these players from stories told to them by their parents and grandparents.

In light of this, we consulted Owls historian Jason Dickinson to compile an exhaustive list of all Wednesday players who have scored fifty goals, encompassing everything from FA Cup winners and promotion winners to contemporary cult heroes and true club legends.
