At the end of the previous season, the 28-year-old’s five-year affiliation with Sheffield United came to an end as his contract expired. Later in the summer, he made his first international move, joining Las Palmas of La Liga. McBurnie has not yet established himself in the highest division of Spanish football, but Sheffield United has reportedly expressed interest in re-signing him.Despite Las Palmas blocking an initial approach, reporter Alan Nixon has stated on his Patreon page that the Blades are still aiming for the forward.
