Aston Villa set sights on signing RB Salzburg sensation Oscar Gloukh

Football Insider has been informed by sources that Aston Villa is considering RB Salzburg sensation Oscar Gloukh ahead of the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old is one of Europe’s most highly-regarded talents and is considered a top young player.

With his Champions League experience, Gloukh is being watched by clubs throughout Europe in anticipation of a potential move in the near future.

Football Insider has been informed by a reliable source that Villa regards the Israel international as a player with “top potential.”

It is thought that the Midlands giants feel the teenager might be a wonderful match for Unai Emery’s ambition if they can pry him away from Salzburg mid-season.

Gloukh is under contract with the Austrian powerhouses through June 2027, having signed earlier this year.

With 41 games under his belt for Salzburg, he has already scored eight goals and provided seven assists, including two in the Champions League.

The 19-year-old, who has two feet, prefers to play as an offensive midfielder but can also play as a winger or deeper midfielder.

Since making his senior international debut in November 2022, he has now accrued 12 caps for Israel and scored three goals.

With 16 games played, Aston Villa is now ranked third in the Premier League after an incredible start to the 2023–24 season.

Prior to their next match on Sunday, December 17, Emery’s team is only two points behind league leaders Liverpool.

The Midlands giants have also qualified for the Europa Conference League’s knockout stage.
