West Brom man pops up on Championship rival’s transfer ‘wish list’

Blackburn Rovers are interested in West Brom winger Jed Wallace, who is reportedly on manager John Eustace’s “wish list” if they do not sign Crystal Palace’s Jeffrey Schlupp.

According to The Sun’s transfer guru Alan Nixon, the Rovers manager is interested in versatile Palace midfielder Schlupp, 32, who is also wanted by Championship rivals QPR and a number of MLS clubs.

However, if Schlupp rejects Rovers, they will “try for respected Wallace” because the 30-year-old has struggled to secure regular starts with the Baggies and “may seek to move” for more playing time.

Wallace, a former Wolves and Millwall player, joined The Hawthorns in June 2022. He has over 100 league appearances and 12 goals for Albion.

According to the source, Eustace is also looking for a striker, and Blackburn is among the clubs interested in signing Patrick Bamford, 31, if he decides to leave Leeds.
