“It’s amazing” Philippe Clement on the big difference between Rangers and AS Monaco.

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has hailed the loyalty of the Ibrox support as he talks about the difference between the Gers and AS Monaco.

The former Ligue 1 manager was speaking to Via Play following the 2-0 Scottish Cup victory over A yr United and hailed the turnout on the day.

Over 40,000 Rangers fans witnessed the victory over lower league opponents, which Clement praised as “amazing”.

The Ibrox manager also admits that his biggest regret about the win over the Honest Men was that the club couldn’t add more luster to the victory.

Rangers manager Philippe Clement was asked about the atmosphere in the stands in Scottish football.
The Belgian manager contrasted his time at Rangers to his experience at AS Monaco, Club Brugge, and Genk, and he clearly admires Scottish fans’ fanaticism.
“It’s amazing, and I’m really enjoying it,” Clement added. “In Monaco, we did not have assistance. We had a maximum of 2-3 thousand backers.
“In Brugges and Genk, there was a lot of support. Brugges has a capacity of 30,000 and is always full. However, no one ever showed up for cup games.

“So we had two or three thousand people come to witness the game. Today, there are about 40,000 people and they are really passionate.

“That’s the pity of the evening; I wish we could have given the supporters more goals to give them something more.

“The team pushed for that and we need to have respect also for the opponent that they gave their lives to stop us to score goa

“Only the top games were different, but there wasn’t much support; instead, more people came to see the stars.
